Die Industriekameras von The Imaging Source sind mit CMOS-Sensoren verschiedener Hersteller wie Sony, On Semiconductor und Aptina ausgestattet und bieten damit modernste rauscharme Sensortechnologie und ein vielseitiges Portfolio an Bildverarbeitungslösungen.

Der Gigabit-Ethernet-Standard ermöglicht Kabellängen von bis zu 100 m und die einfache Implementierung von Mehrkamerasystemen, während der USB3-Vision-Standard Stabilität und Kompatibilität für eine einfache Integration und flexible Konfiguration der "37er" und "38er" Industriekameraserien garantiert. Abgerundet wird dies mit den USB-3.0-Modellen der "23er", "27er" und "33er" Industriekameraserien. Der integrierte Hirose-Stecker unterstützt verschiedene I/Os wie Strobe- und Trigger-Optionen. Mit diesem Funktionsumfang sind die Kameras perfekt für die unterschiedlichsten Anwendungen geeignet. Die 38er-Serie bietet darüber hinaus die zukunftsweisende ix Industrial Ethernet-Schnittstelle, die dank eines integrierten Verriegelungssystems eine hohe Schock- und Vibrationsfestigkeit gegenüber dem Standard-RJ45-Stecker aufweist.

Die Konfiguration und Integration der Kamera erfolgt einfach über die kostenlose Software-Bibliothek des Herstellers oder bei den GigE-Vision- und USB3-Vision-kompatiblen Modellen über die im Lieferumfang enthaltene CVB CameraSuite.

Große Auswahl an Sensoren

Die Industriekameras von The Imaging Source bieten Auflösungen von bis zu 20 Megapixel und eine große Auswahl an CMOS-Sensoren von Sensorherstellern wie Sony Pregius und STARVIS Sensoren sowie kostenoptimierte Sensoren von ON Semiconductor. Sie sind mit Global und Rolling Shutter, sowohl in Farbe als auch monochrom sowie mit einem polarisierten Monochromsensor erhältlich.

Flexible Softwareanbindung

Für Windows-Betriebssysteme ist die Konfiguration und Integration der Kameras einfach, entweder mit den Software-Tools und Bibliotheken des Herstellers wie IC Capture, IC Imaging oder mit der plattformunabhängigen Software Common Vision Blox, die einsatzbereite Werkzeuge für verschiedene Anwendungen bereitstellt. The Imaging Source entwickelt und unterstützt Open-Source-Treiber und End-User-Software für Linux, der Source Code wurde unter Apache 2.0 License veröffentlicht.

Unsichtbares sichtbar machen mit Hilfe von Polarisation

Die Polarsens-Kamera ist mit einem 5,0 Megapixel IMX250MZR (monochrom) oder IMX250YR (Farbe) CMOS-Sensor von Sony ausgestattet, der über die neueste vierdirektionale Polarisationsfiltertechnologie von Sony verfügt. Die On-Chip-Nanodraht-Polarisationsschicht unterstützt vier Ausrichtungen (0°, 45°, 90° und 135°), so dass jedes Pixel des Sensors polarisiertes Licht in Bezug auf seine spezifische Drahtgitterachse erfasst, was mehrere Polarisationsbilddaten in einer einzigen Aufnahme ermöglicht.

Durch die Verwendung polarisierter Bilddaten können Reflexionen, die die Inspektion von Oberflächen erschweren, reduziert und der Kontrast bei schlechten Lichtverhältnissen zur Erkennung von Formen verbessert werden. Verschiedene Materialeigenschaften wie Spannung, Zusammensetzung oder Oberflächenstruktur lassen sich erkennen, die mit herkömmlicher Bildverarbeitung nicht sichtbar wären. Anwendungen sind beispielsweise:

Inspektion von Oberflächen (auf Schäden, Planität, Kratzer)
Anwendungen mit kontrastarmen Bildern (z.B. Kohlefaser, Reifen, Schweißpunkte)
Erkennen von Materialspannungen
Anwendungen, die reflexionsarme Bilder erfordern
