Wherever very small pixels meet very high resolution requirements, the Ruby lenses deliver the right contrast at the right price point.
Schneider 1/1.8" Xenon-Ruby
Ultra high resolution small format lens for up to 10 megapixel
Schneider-Kreuznach addresses the market need for cost effective lenses for small sensor sizes with the Xenon-Ruby series. Xenon-Ruby lenses are made for 1/1.8" sensors with very small pixel sizes of down to 2.5 µm. All lenses come with C-mount and M25.5 filter threads. With 10 mm, 16 mm, 25 mm and 35 mm focal lengths we can offer a complete product range suitable for all needs.
Although the aperture starts at 2.2, respectively 2.3 this does not mean these lenses cannot be used where a lot of light is needed - contrary to most other popular lens series, Ruby lenses can be used with the maximum aperture, without losing too much contrast or light in the corners. Many applications can be solved with much more open f-numbers with the Ruby lenses when compared to most other 1/1.8" lenses.
