Schneider’s highly versatile Unifoc focussing system consists of the lens,
helical focussing system, camera adapter and extension rings. The individual
components can be fixed using locking screws. The lenses can be used in
combination with many different cameras thanks to the wide variety of
available camera adapters and extension rings.

Variants
The Unifoc system is available in three variants
- Unifoc 12 - suitable for macro imaging
- Unifoc 58 - designed for applications with sensors of up to 40mm in length
- Unifoc 76 - designed for applications with sensors of up to 60mm in length.
The Unifoc 58 and Unifoc 76 series
These use the same lenses and differ mainly in their helical mounts.
Lenses
The lenses in the Unifoc 58/76 system offer exceptional image quality for
line-scan and area scan cameras, even when used to image very small objects.
Nine different lenses are available as standard, with focal lengths from 28mm
to 100mm. The associated image diameters extend from 30mm to 96.8mm and
additional lenses are available on request. All the lenses have a filter
holder (M43 x 0.75mm) and the module is connected to the fine adjustment
mechanism via a Leica mount with a diameter of 39 mm.
Helical mounts
The helical mounts for the Unifoc 58 and 76 have a displacement of 25.7mm and
differ in their connector threads on the camera connection (M42 for Unifoc 58
and M58 for Unifoc 76). Thanks to the large diameter at the camera end (M58),
the Unifoc 76 system is ideal for use with long line sensors.
As with the Unifoc 12 system, the assembled size is application-specific. In
this case, four camera adapters and three extension rings are available.
