Allison Park Group, Inc. (APG) manufactures camera and lighting enclosures for harsh industrial environments. APG's housings are made of extremely durable stainless steel or aluminium and come in a wide choice of designs to accommodate most cameras and applications.

For situations where no standard solution is available, APG also offers custom enclosures and OEM design solutions.

APG basic protection housings

Suited for general industrial applications, the NEMA 12 housings prevent tampering with the camera and lens and protect against dust and dripping water. They are built using a combination of aluminium and stainless steel and are available with a number of options such as air curtains, heating or air cooling, as well as optional pan and tilt mounting assemblies.

L1 - enclosures for vertical mounting

The L1 enclosure is a low cost, 304 stainless steel housing for vertical style cameras. It keeps out dust, dirt and idle hands, as well as providing a high degree of impact resistance. The drillable PG29 cable gland on the bottom allows you to use most premade cables without disassembly and provides a watertight seal around one or more cables.

The clear lens spacer allows the user to view the lens settings without opening the enclosure. Once the enclosure cover is removed, the user has full access to the lens, taking the guesswork out of changing focus and f-stop settings. The L1 enclosure can handle a variety of lenses. Longer lens spacers are available to handle lenses up to 4" or more in length. The enclosure is available with a glass or polycarbonate viewport.

22C − small housing for robot applications

The 22C series enclosure was developed specifically for 30 mm x 30 mm cross-section miniature inline cameras. It accommodates lenses up to 48 mm in diameter. It is especially useful for robot applications, and is small and light enough to be mounted on the arm or end effector.

The enclosure provides tool-less access to the camera and lens, and is available with either a standard PG16 drillable cord grip, or a bulkhead cable fitting for quick disconnect. Other options include glass or acrylic windows, air cooling, and an air curtain option that blows a film of air over the outside of the viewing window. This is effective in keeping dust, water and oil mists off the window. A pan and tilt base option is also available.

32C − enclosures for robot applications

The 32C series enclosure was developed for cameras up to 50 mm x 50 mm. It accomodates lenses up to 74 mm in diameter. It is especially useful for robot applications, and is small and light enough to be mounted on the arm or end effector. The enclosure provides tool-less access to the camera and lens, and is available with either a standard PG29 drillable cord grip, or a bulkhead cable fitting for quick disconnect. Other options include glass or polycarbonate windows, air cooling, and an air curtain. A pan and tilt base option is also available.

30D / 38D − housings for inline cameras

The 30D enclosure is a stainless steel and aluminium housing for inline style cameras. It is designed to protect the camera from impacts, dust, dirt, splashed water and idle hands. The enclosure is highly configurable, with air cooling and air curtain faceplate options. The standard cable gland at the bottom of the enclosure uses a split insert to provide a watertight seal around one or more cables. The gland allows passage of one or more premade cables without removal of the connectors from the cables. The enclosure is designed so that once the enclosure cover is removed, the user has full access to the camera and lens, taking the guesswork out of changing focus and f-stop settings. The standard 30D enclosure allows the lens to be adjusted close to the viewport to reduce reflections. The enclosure also is designed to readily accommodate large diameter lenses or ringlights up to 50 mm in diameter (lit area). The enclosure meets NEMA 12 standards when equipped with a sealed viewport. Optional pan and tilt mount is also available.

The 38D offers the same functionality for larger inline cameras and is designed to readily accomodate large diameter lenses or ring lights up to 67 mm in diameter (lit area).

APG increased protection housings

Available in either aluminium or stainless steel, depending on the model, these extended protection housings provide IP65 protection and are suitable for washdown. The stainless steel models extend the suitability to corrosive environments. As with all APG models options include air curtains, heating and air cooling, as well as optional pan and tilt assemblies.

24C − small IP65 housing for robot applications

The 24C series enclosure handles up to a 44 x 30 mm cross-section inline cameras. It will also accommodate ring lights up to 55 mm in diameter. It is especially useful for robot applications, and is small and light enough to be mounted on the arm or end effector. The enclosure provides tool-less access to the camera and lens, and comes standard with a PG21 drillable cord grip.

Other options include glass or acrylic windows, air cooling, and an air curtain option that blows a film of air over the outside of the viewing window. This is effective in keeping dust, water and oil mists off the window.

25R − small IP67 enclosure

The 25R enclosure is a compact, high-performance enclosure for your small camera. It is constructed completely of 316 stainless steel for maximum corrosion resistance. The 25R enclosure is provided with two IP68 rated cord grips capable of handling cable diameters of 3 mm to 7 mm. Cord grips capable of handling 5 mm to 10 mm are also available at no extra cost.

The enclosure design allows complete access to the camera and lens when the barrel is removed. All camera and lens adjustments can be made after the camera is mounted, taking the guesswork out of focus and f-stop settings. The 25R enclosure is available in a variety of standard barrel lengths from 6" to 13". Barrel extensions and custom barrel lengths are also available. The enclosure is available with either a glass or acrylic viewport. The construction of this enclosure does not meet standards for food applications.

35C / 47C − housings for larger cameras

The 35C enclosure is designed to make mounting, aiming and servicing your camera as simple as possible. The cable gland on the back allows you to use most premade cables without disassembly and provides a watertight seal around one or more cables. The enclosure includes a stainless steel mount providing pan and tilt. The enclosure design also provides roll axis adjustment, allowing precise aiming of the camera. All aiming adjustments can be made after the camera is mounted, taking the guesswork out of focus and f-stop settings.

The 35C enclosure is available in a variety of standard barrel lengths from 6" to 13". Barrel extensions and custom barrel lengths also are available. Optional accessories include an air curtain faceplate, and fittings (a press-in air hose connector and a pressure relief valve) to allow air purging and cooling, heat absorbent glass for looking at hot objects and polycarbonate faceplates for food applications. Stainless steel version and optional sun shield is also available. The 47C enclosure can handle a variety of cameras; larger body, with larger lenses and ones with ringlights. The enclosure is available in a variety of standard barrel lengths ranging from 6" to 13". Custom barrel lengths also are available.

APG food environment housings

Specifically designed to meet food standards specifications, these housings are designed to protect against dust, dirt and water including washdown. They are made from food grade 316 stainless steel also providing resistance to corrosion. The mechanical design ensures neither moisture nor dirt traps, a prerequisite in food applications and innovative food grade cable glands make integration easy. Options such as air cooling, window material and coatings as well as air blade window cleaning are all available. Pan and tilt mounting kits ensure easy installation.

30S − small housing for high corrosive environments

The 30S enclosure is a 316 stainless steel housing for smaller inline style cameras. Designed to work in highly corrosive environments, it is also designed to work in food applications, with care taken to reduce pockets where water might sit. The enclosure is highly configurable, with air cooling and air curtain faceplate options. The standard cable gland at the bottom of the enclosure uses a split insert to provide a watertight seal around one or more cables. The gland allows passage of standard I/O and power cable (and Ethernet cable) without removal of the connectors from the cables.

The enclosure is designed so that once the enclosure cover is removed, the user has full access to the camera and lens, taking the guesswork out of changing focus and f-stop settings. The standard 30S enclosure allows the lens to be adjusted close to the viewport to reduce reflections. The enclosure is designed to readily accommodate large diameter lenses or ringlights up to 50 mm in diameter (lit area). Optional pan and tilt mount is also available.

38S − housing for larger cameras in high corrosive environments

Designed for FDA regulated washdown applications, the 38S is simple yet effective design of 316 stainless steel. This competitively priced housing includes a drillable cord grip, allowing use of premade cables. Captive screws hold the cover in place, and when the cover is removed, the user has outstanding camera access.
