The 2 independent channels can deliver up to 5 A in continuous mode and 50A in pulsed mode with high resolution from 0.6 to 15 mA. This corresponds to 150W per channel or 300W in total
Gardasoft TR-HT
Highest power output controller for machine vision LED lighting
The Gardasoft TR-HT Series is the industry’s highest power, precision controller for Machine Vision LED lighting. With unique switching technology, these controllers have 2 independent output channels, each rated at 150W and each capable of driving 50A in pulsed mode and 5A in continuous mode. Dual range output current with the design of the TR-HT controllers enables fine tuning at low currents - with resolution from 0.6 mA to 15 mA. The patented technologies SafeSense, SafePower and Triniti allow for the safe overdriving of the LEDs, remove the restriction of the choice of PSU voltages and the reliable monitoring of the light.
Reasons to choose the Gardasoft TR-HT controllers
How far you can overdrive an LED lights doesn't just depend on the current consumption and timing, but also on the available voltage range. 72V allows you to overdrive LED lights at a higher level than with "usual" controllers (limited to 48V output voltage).
Accurate overdriving is a major step forward in LED lighting control; equally it’s important to ensure that a duty cycle that's too high is not selected. Gardasoft removes the possibility of this happening. When a light is connected, the SafeSense technology runs a very rapid routine that determines the actual rating of the light. SafeSense imposes safe working limits based on the pulse width and duty cycle for overdriving, thus providing full protection. In constant mode, the maximum output current allowed would be the maximum rating defined by SafeSense. SafeSense works by using the following techniques:
- Sensing when a light is connected
- Finding the current rating of the light
- Driving the light within safe limits
- Detecting faults
SafePower adjusts the load voltage to the requirements of the LED automatically. Consequently the power lost is reduced to a minimum and a heatsink is not needed to dissipate overheating. As the load voltage can be higher than the supply voltage (as long as the total required power is available), a usual 24 V power supply can be used to supply the light, even for overdriving mode. Reduced power loss for each channel allows you to combine different lights with different modes without exceeding the maximum allowed power dissipation of the controller.
The controller communicates with the Triniti chip on the light to automatically set up the operating envelope of the light, preventing accidental damage while providing feedback on parameters such as in light sensor and usage. The controller features GigE Vision compliance, so you can control it with your favourite machine vision software. Set-up utilities are provided for a number of software packages including STEMMER IMAGING's Common Vision Blox. This provides a graphical representation of the timing of the light and camera along with the resultant image, making set-up easy!
