Machine vision is a dynamic field: STEMMER IMAGING and our suppliers are the world´s leading manufacturers for machine vision components and solutions, introducing many brand new developments several times a year.
The new Fujinon CF-ZA-1S series of ultrahigh resolution lenses has been introduced for high precision inspection and measurement applications using cameras featuring 1.1” image sensors. Satisfying the growing popularity for these larger diameter sensors with a small 2.5 µm pixel pitch (equivalent to 23 Mpixels), the new range contains lenses with focal lengths from 8 to 50 mm.
The introduction of new Gocator® laser line profilers, snapshot sensors and the GoMax plug and play smart vision accelerator by LMI Technologies transforms inline quality inspection capabilities. The 2500 series of smart sensors are the fastest, most compact, and advanced Gocator® 3D laser line profilers to date. The Gocator 3504 is the highest XY resolution 3D snapshot sensor on the market today. GoMax® can accelerate any Gocator® by adding massive GPU-driven data processing power to the sensor (or sensor network).
STEMMER IMAGING has developed a GenICam Transport Layer (GenTL) for the innovative Intel® 400 Series of RealSense™ stereo cameras and depth modules to make them GenICam compliant. This greatly enhances the use of Intel® RealSense™ imaging technology in machine vision systems by providing connectivity to all GenTL-compliant software packages for further processing and analysis.
The new Genie Nano-5G GigE Vision cameras from Teledyne DALSA provide exceptional data transfer capabilities using industry-standard Ethernet technology at an extremely attractive price point. With data transfer rates in excess of 5 Gb/s possible over cable lengths up to 100 metres, and a choice of high performance Sony sensors, these new cameras open up a host of new applications in a wide range of industries.
The LightBridge 2 ACL is the latest stand-alone CameraLink frame grabber from Silicon Software. This compact unit can readily be deployed on the factory floor to acquire and pre-process images. These can then be transferred over distances up to 60 metres to a remote PC for analysis.
The new Bonito PRO camera family from Allied Vision achieves 25 Gigabits per second with quad CXP-6 CoaXPress for high-speed, high bandwidth applications. These include automated optical Inspection, flat panel display inspection, printing inspection, 2D/3D surface inspection, and aerial surveillance.
The Ricoh SC-10 camera inspection system is designed to both provide assembly instructions to operators and verify each step has been completed correctly. The simple, self-contained camera system is having a major impact in many different manufacturing environments in Japan is now available in Europe exclusively from STEMMER IMAGING.
Ruggedised versions of the MPW2 series of C-mount 5 Mpixel ultra-low distortion machine vision lenses have been introduced by Computar. The new MPW2-R Series of lenses is designed specifically to withstand strong shocks, vibrations and huge variations in temperatures in demanding factory automation environments.
The new Dimension range of lenses from Zeiss has been designed for precise high-end applications, where distortion, vignetting and colouring issues must be minimised. Developed specifically for C-mount cameras, these new lenses provide high contrast, razor-sharp images, even at maximum aperture. They are virtually distortion-free across the entire area of sensors up to 4/3” and can resolve pixel sizes down to 2 μm.
The new FC series of 1.1" C-Mount lenses from Kowa has been designed for use with 12 megapixel sensors with an image circle up to 17.6 mm. They are optimised to prevent unwanted shading on the new Sony IMX253 and IMX304 CMOS sensors by matching with the micro lenses on the sensors’ 3.45 µm pixels.
