Gardasoft: New lights for traffic monitoring

Gardasoft has designed the new VTR4 lights specifically for applications in the field of traffic technology. Due to its high light output performance of 6000 W/sr this strobe light can capture entire vehicles, even unter difficult conditions. As with the predecessor models, the VTR4 can be fitted with different LED colors (initially white and IR 850), two reflection angles (12° and 30°) and options such as a 12V power supply.
Of course the light is designed for outdoor use and is therefore equipped with an IP66 housing and robust cabling. Accessories such as sun protectors or tilt-mountings are also available for the new VTR4 lights. An Ethernet or RS232 interface are available which also allows setting parameters such as intensity, pulse length or internal timer over longer distances. A trigger input to synchronize camera recording is also available.
Examples of applications for the VTR4 include capturing number plates, photographing drivers, checking toll stickers on windscreens or cataloging vehicle models as well as checking the number of axles of trucks at toll stations. There is no need to restrict the flow of traffic due to its large area of illumination. This allows capturing vehicles under different weather conditions throughout the year and 24 hours per day.
For industrial environments, Gardasoft has produced the VLL3 (with one row of LEDs) and the VLL4 (with two rows of LED’s). These high-intensity linear lighting solutions allow uniform illumination of large areas. They are available in a wide variety of colours (white, red, blue, green, plus infra red at 740, 850 and 940 nm), and in a range of lengths (280, 560, 840 and 1120 mm) and beam angles (12° and 30°) allowing them to be used in many different industrial applications.
The VLL lighting series are all IP65 rated and as such are suitable for use in harsh industrial environments. Additional accessories are available on request, such as diffusers and polarisers plus active water cooling can be specified if required.
