Teledyne DALSA Piranha4: Versatile Line Scan Camera Series

Teledyne DALSA is further enriching its wide range of high-performance line scan cameras with new Piranha4 models.

Utilising Teledyne DALSA’s latest high-performance CMOS dual line scan sensor, the Piranha4 series offers an excellent image quality featuring line rates up to 140 kHz regarding the monochrome version. The unique dual line scan CMOS architecture delivers a 2x increase in responsiveness.

Optimum image acquisition in low light applications

Large full-well capacity maximizes signal coverage for bright light, while low read noise and on-chip CDS ensures superior signal-to-noise at low light. Further key features are a 100% fill factor, an integrated exposure control, 100x antiblooming and precise sensor alignment. An advanced GenICam compliant user interface makes it easy to set up and control camera parameters.

The Piranha4 offers users a higher dynamic range for demanding applications such as flat panel inspection, printed circuit board inspection, solar cell inspection and web inspection (narrow and wide web). Image data is transferred via CameraLink interface Medium or Full.

Next generation high-performance colour line scan cameras

The VISION highlights presented by Teledyne DALSA are the Piranha4 colour versions featuring Bilinear and Trilinear sensors. The Piranha4 Color combines 8192 x 2 pixels with high colour fidelity and line rates of 50 kHz with 8192 pixels. With the P4 Color Tri model Teledyne DALSA is presenting the next generation high-performance colour line scan cameras using CMOS technology for increased line rates. Depending on the application the user can choose between the 2k version with 14 µm pixel size or the 4k version with 10 µm pixel size and three lines. The maximum line rate of both versions is 70 kHz.
