Earlier this year, Teledyne DALSA launched its possibility hub as a resource for sharing ideas and innovations in the field of digital imaging.

See their latest products at VISION in Hall 1 at stand D54. These include the Piranha4 multispectral camera, the Linea series of line scan cameras and the Genie TS 5M camera.

Piranha4 Multispectral

Both the Piranha4 and the Genie TS offer High Dynamic Range (HDR) imaging capability which outputs an image with a longer exposure time and a second image with a shorter exposure time to capture even more detail. This functionality will be demonstrated for the first time at the VISION show. Teledyne DALSA’s latest Piranha4 multispectral is a quad-linear camera with RGB colour, plus a near-infrared (NIR) channel. The Piranha4 combines advancements from their proprietary CMOS image sensor technology with exceptional signal-to-noise ratio for unparalleled high speed monochrome and colour imaging. The Piranha4 is ideal for high speed inspection applications in monochrome, colour and multispectral. Multispectral extends imaging capability in many applications including 100% print inspection, banknote inspection, package and label inspection, and food inspection.

Linea CMOS line scan camera family

The Linea camera family is comprised of feature rich, high value CMOS line scan cameras, currently available in Camera Link, and soon in GigE. Ideal for machine vision requirements, with 2, 4 and 8k resolutions and 80 kHz line rate for all, Linea cameras are available at an attractive price point. With excellent sensitivity in the visible and the near infrared, Linea surpasses the requirements for many applications, including food, electronics, material sorting, rail and web inspection.

5 M GigE camera - Genie TS series

The Genie TS series now includes a 5M camera that can reach speeds up to 51 frames per second (fps) in fast mode. It is the fastest 5M GigE camera available today, and a cost-efficient solution for challenging inspection applications. Unique to the Genie TS camera family is a feature that allows the capture of multiple Regions of Interest (ROI), significantly reducing the amount of data transferred and simultaneously allowing systems to focus on events that are critical to the inspection. The camera is suitable for a wide range of inspection applications including intelligent traffic systems (ITS), entertainment, medical, food and beverage inspection, and electronics and printed circuit board (PCB) inspection, among others.
