The light’s silicone lens provides an extra-tight seal and IP65 rating. Unlike glass and plastics, silicone won’t yellow, craze, or react to UV light. Additional benefits of silicone include a lack of chemical reactivity, robustness in harsh environmental conditions, and high transmission from 365 nm (UV) to 2000 nm (IR). The IP65 rating of the light saves costs by permitting use in harsh environments without additional protection.
The mini ring lights feature 72 extremely bright LEDS with a choice of wavelengths to meet specific application needs. The options are white (6500 K), blue (470 nm), green (530 nm) and red (625 nm), although additional wavelengths are available upon request. Light output is regulated using the built-in Multi-Drive™ controller. This allows users to operate the mini ring light continuously or in OverDrive™ Strobe mode.
The 1–10 V analog control line gives the user total control over intensity for continuous output up to the maximum rating of the light. The OverDrive strobe mode allows the light to be pulsed in order to ‘freeze motion’ in high speed imaging applications. The integrated driver makes it easy to trigger the illumination by using the strobe-out signal of the camera.
The OverDrive mode also allows the user to increase the light output by running the light in short pulses at a higher intensity than the usual rating. The built-in Multi-Driver™ regulates the current delivered to the LEDs and limits the duty cycle of the light. This prevents excessive heat generation, protecting the LEDs from premature degradation and failure.
To facilitate fast installation and integration, the RMX75 includes four T-slots, an optional camera adapter, and a standard 5-pin M12 connector. The M12 connector provides a stable and quick industry-grade connection. The optional mounting bracket, in combination with a set of filter adapters, provides multiple lensing options from M25.5x0.5 to M72x0.75 to cover a wide range of possible applications.
