Large format CMOS cameras supersede CCD versions

13 Feb 2020

Three new Allied Vision Prosilica GT Large Format cameras, with high-resolution 2 nd generation Sony IMX CMOS sensors, offer outstanding imaging performance. IEEE 1588 PTP and Trigger over Ethernet bring precise triggering using a single cable, reducing system costs and complexity.

Klaus Mählert, Product Manager at STEMMER IMAGING for Allied Vision cameras, said:

“Part of our aim to make machine vision easy and accessible for users from component level up to customer specific solutions includes recommending suitable replacements in the event of product discontinuations.

We see these new Allied Vision CMOS cameras as ideal successors for the discontinued Prosilica GT CCD models.

High quantum efficiency, dynamic range and lower readout noise deliver excellent image quality. With a robust housing, optical filters and a choice of 8 mounts including the TFL-Mount for large format sensors, these new cameras can cope with harsh environments and extreme temperature variations.”
