Machine Vision Products - STEMMER IMAGING

With Europe’s largest selection of leading machine vision technology

Since 1919 the Asahi Optical Co. has been producing optical components. In 1951 production of CCTV lenses was started, firstly under the brand name Cosmicar and later as Pentax.

Today, after many years of further development, these lenses are in use in numerous machine vision systems all over the world. Since 2011, the former Pentax Industrial Optical Systems Division is a part of the global Ricoh Group. The machine vision lenses are now marketed under the brand name Ricoh, but are technically identical.

With the inclusion into the Ricoh Group, the division now benefits from the development potential and product portfolio of the entire Ricoh Group.

The role of machine vision in manufacturing

Machine vision already makes an important contribution to the manufacturing sector, primarily by providing automated inspection capabilities as part of QC procedures. However, the world of automation is becoming increasingly complex. Industry 4.0, the Internet of Things (IoT), cloud computing, artificial intelligence, machine learning and many other technologies present users and developers of vision systems with big challenges in the selection of the ideal system for their respective application.

High resolution lenses offer improved image quality

STEMMER IMAGING is adding further options to its range of high resolution lenses for machine vision with 9, 10 and 12 Megapixel lenses from Ricoh, Tamron and Kowa.

New Ricoh megapixel lenses for imaging and machine vision

Ricoh introduces the new FL-CC series of 2 megapixel lenses.
