High resolution trilinear colour camera reduces integration costs

Teledyne DALSA’s new Piranha4 8k trilinear colour camera offers improved colour imaging at a lower cost using Teledyne e2v’s latest CMOS 8k trilinear sensor. Independent exposure control for each channel for uniform image brightness and an ASCII command or an advanced GenICam-compliant interface makes the camera easier to setup, control, and integrate into high resolution application sub-systems or OEM solutions. Application areas include printing, PCB, electronics, film, and large format web inspection.

Computational imaging improves imaging at source

Computational Imaging (CI) uses data extracted from a series of images acquired under different lighting or optical conditions to create an output image containing the details that are most important to a particular machine vision task. This approach offers powerful advantages over traditional one-shot imaging. It can improve the capability of a camera and reveal image detail not previously possible.

New two-channel CLHS frame grabber lowers cost overheads

The two-channel Xtium2-CLHS FX8 LC frame grabber from Teledyne DALSA has been introduced for cost-sensitive applications. It supports up to two bidirectional SPF+ modules running at 10Gbit/s. Using the CLHS X-Protocol for fast data transfer, this latest model delivers up to 2.0 GB/s of image acquisition and 6.8 GB/s to host memory. The low-cost SPF+ module and fibre optic cables help extend cable lengths to 100 metres to meet the needs of the latest high-speed, high-resolution CLHS cameras. These include Teledyne DALSA’s Linea ML and Linea HS colour and multi-line line scan cameras.
