CCS: Improved Background and New Line Light
17 Mar 2011
The back lights of the TH series are available in eleven different sizes ranging from 27 x 27 mm to 211 x 200 mm. The standard colours available from CCS include red (635 nm), blue (470 nm) and white (6600 K). Compared with the previous LDL-TP series the TH lights offer significantly increased brightness: according to CCS the difference in brightness for the red variant is a factor of 7. The blue and white lights are brighter than the LDL-TP products by factors of 4 and 2.6. In terms of thermal management CCS has also improved performance in comparison with the LDL-TP series and reduced the end temperature by approx. 25 percent for red and 16 percent for white.
All products operate on 24 V and are fitted with a diffusing plate with anti- reflection coating. A new mounting method with tapped holes on the bottom and frame structure mounting on the sides provides greater flexibility. As with the LDL-TP lights, suitable light control films are also available for the TH series.
With the LT series, CCS have introduced a new line light on the market which, due to its T-profile, is suitable for use in highly constricted spaces. The lights are available in sizes ranging from 100 mm to 1.8 metres in 100 mm steps in the standard color white with 10,000 K. It can be used both as incident or background lighting.
CCS was founded in Kyoto in 1993 and released its first LED light for the machine vision market in 1994. Since then, the company has expanded and now is one of the world’s largest suppliers of LED illumination with offices in Japan, China, Singapore, Belgium and the US.
