The production of our CVC GE cameras has started successfully and a number of design-ins are underway with several of our customers. The feedback on the CVC GE cameras has been extremely positive to date and we are able to supply ex- stock or with short delivery periods. At present the range includes CVC1020P GE, CVC995P GE and CVC490P GE, which are all equipped with progressive scan sensors.
The PoE variants CVC 1020P GE POE, CVC 995P GE POE and CVC 490P GE POE, which are equipped with theadditional Power over Ethernet (PoE) option and can thus operate without a mains unit and voltage cable, are now available.
Soon we will also be able to offer some interlaced models to complement these progressive scan models. The CVC985EP GE camera with its extremely sensitive Sony Super HAD sensor is certainly impressive. We will also be able to offer a low-cost alternative soon with the CVC48EP GE. Our development department is currently working hard on a GigE interface board for the HD variants: Sony FCB-H11 and Sony FCB-EH4300. These models operate with 1/3" CMOS HD sensors with 2 million pixels. These cameras will also be available with and without Power over Ethernet. Production of these cameras is planned for May 2011.
All cameras in the CVC GE series are equipped with digital I/Os and an RS232 interface to actuate peripheral equipment. Easy integration and actuation of the cameras is facilitated by the built-in GenICam support and an LED status display.
The combination of FCB-E cameras with our FGI interface modules allows you to benefit from the numerous advantages of GigE vision technology in conjunction with the established Sony FCB-E cameras, which have often proven the ideal choice for applications in the field of security and monitoring.
With a diverse range of core technologies and experience in consumer, broadcast and security applications, Sony offers a range of highly versatile cameras which find applications in many markets.
