Teledyne DALSA Genie TS with CMOSIS-Sensor goes into production

Teledyne DALSA has announced the start of production of the first Genie TS models with CMOSIS sensor. The DALSA Genie TS-M1920 CS and DALSA Genie TS-M2048 CS are the latest additions to the Genie TS camera series.

The 2 Mpixel DALSA Genie TS-M1920 CS features a 2/3” CMOSIS sensor, whilst the 4 Mpixel Genie TS-M2048 CS is equipped with an 1“ sensor. Both cameras feature CS mount, which can be easily converted to C mount using a 5 mm extension ring.

Burst recording for high frame rates

The upcoming firmware update allows burst recording for high frame rates in the camera’s internal buffer. Genie TS NIR versions are planned for the coming months.

High sustained GigE Vision bandwidth

The Genie TS models are based on extremely fast CMOSIS sensors and provide high sustained GigE Vision bandwidth. With Power over Ethernet for reduced cable complexity, the Genie TS camera platform delivers the widest, most powerful feature set available for GigE Vision cameras. Teledyne DALSA’s "Burst Mode" feature allows for high image capture rates with a true global shutter while maintaining exceptional image quality.

Additional highlights of these cameras include an extended temperature range up to 60 °C as well as various features such as Multi-Slope for an expanded dynamic range, Moving ROI and Cycling Mode. The 2 Mpixel HD format version has a frame rate of 70 fps, with 37.5 fps for the 4 Mpixel version.
