Partnership with the Munich University of Applied Sciences (MUAS)

Methods employed in computer graphics and image processing are being used at an increasing extent in industrial and medical applications. The University of Applied Sciences in Munich (MUAS) has been offering a Master's degree in computer science with a focus on computer graphics and image processing since 2005 and ensures through intensive contacts and with the cooperation of the commercial sector the practical training of students. STEMMER IMAGING is the key partner of the MUAS for image processing.

Master in Computer Science (part-time studies)

As part of the partnership, STEMMER IMAGING has equipped eleven workstations in two of the university's laboratories with its image processing library, Common Vision Blox, so that the students can gain practical experience with state-of-the-art image processing components during their studies.

For young professionals, who want to acquire the Master's degree at the same time, the study course is offered as a part-time studies in 6 semesters. As part of this part-time study model STEMMER IMAGING offers opportunities for trainees allowing a parallel Master's degree.

Interested bachelors or graduates can directly apply at STEMMER IMAGING.

Competence Centre Image Processing

STEMMER IMAGING and the MUAS cooperate in the Image Processing Competence Centre. STEMMER IMAGING is an important industrial partner of the Faculty of Computer Science and Mathematics.

Competence Centres are research groups in the domaines of technology, economics and social affairs, developing applications and doing research in close cooperation with industry and consulting in matters of new technologies.

So the Image Processing Competence Centre bundles skills in the areas of

  • Industrial Image Processing
  • Medical Imaging
  • Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing
  • Robotics and Real-Time Image Processing
  • Computer Graphics

to merge ideas and know-how and advance innovations.
