Line scan tunnel illumination for glossy surfaces
The Metaphase xx-CDT series is a low profile version of the tunnel illumination MB-DT, with an aperture designed for line scan applications. With its diffuse and multi-directional light output, the xx-CDT is ideal for inspecting highly specular surfaces.
Used to inspect items wrapped in clear plastic, the xx-CDT allows to see through the plastic and image the product inside with minimal glare. Its highly diffused light output is perfect for imaging metallic materials and curved items such as gel tablets.
There are two designs available; the High Power HP-CDT and the Narrow Width High Power NWHP-CDT.
The Narrow Width High Power version is, as the name describes, a narrower version of the High Power version. It's width is only about 81 mm (instead 138 mm for the HP-CDT version).
The coating of the reflector is selected to obtain an optimally diffused output, even for non-visible light like UV or IR. The coating reflects up to 98% of the light, you have nearly no light lost compared to a direct illumination but with the benefit of the uniformity due to the matt finished surface.
All models are passive cooled. By reducing moving parts, the probability of unexpected maintenance is reduced.
Available in up to 18 different standard lengths from 7 cm to 218 cm. LED options range from white and coloured LED's to IR and UV or RGB.
