Schneider-Kreuznach CITRINE

2/3" C-mount lenses with a spectral range of 400 nm to 1000 nm

The Schneider-Kreuznach CITRINE series addresses the needs of current CMOS sensors that have small pixels and a broad band of spectral sensitivity.

The robust mechanical design with metal barrel housing and the option for glued lenses (ruggedised) make these lenses the right choice for harsh environments - both the focus and aperture settings remain stable.

Thanks to the high resolution, these lenses are perfectly suited for any 3D measurement application, food processing or any other general machine vision application.

Reasons to choose the Schneider-Kreuznach CITRINE lenses

Robust design

This series is equipped with the Schneider-Kreuznach C-mount focusing mechanism which is so popular because it is simple and extremely robust to vibration and shock. Combined with the metal housings and fixing screws for focus and aperture, this lens is perfect for industrial environments.

Broadband coating

Unless most other manufacturers, Schneider-Kreuznach offers their compact lens series like the 2/3" 3MP series with a broadband coating from 400 nm to 1000 nm making it the perfect choice for traffic applications, applications where factories require to use NIR light to not distract the working people in certain areas, and also hyperspectral imaging applications in the VNIR range.

Almost linear distortion

Although some lenses might appear with some higher distortion values, the distortion is almost linear, meaning it is very easy to correct in software and maintaining highly accurate measurements.

Renaming of Schneider-Kreuznach lenses

In order to make information more accessible, Schneider-Kreuznach has decided to restructure the lens range and rename the lenses accordingly. Following existing names, all product families will be named after gemstones.

Your benefit

  • You will be able to find a lens with specific features faster.
  • The naming is consistent across all documents, data and on the lens.
  • All features are transparent through the "descriptive name”. Our example below shows the current Xenoplan-M 2.0/28.
