Teledyne e2v ELiiXA+

Multiline CMOS line scan camera with highly sensitive pixels and up to 200 KHz speed

The Teledyne e2v ELiiXA+ series offers a large range of more than 20 line scan cameras to build high-speed or high-resolution inspection systems. It includes monochrome and colour cameras from 2k to 16k pixels resolution with a CameraLink, GigE Vision over NBASE-T (5 Gb/s) or CoaXPress interface.

Featuring Teledyne e2v’s multi-line CMOS image sensor technology, the cameras provide high line rates combined with a high response and extremely low noise levels. This delivers a high signal to noise ratio even when short integration times are required or when illumination is limited. The sensor is arranged in either two, three or four active lines.



Reasons to use the Teledyne e2V Eliixa+

Operates in difficult lighting conditions

The ELiiXA+ enables high resolution imaging, even in low light conditions, by offering the possibility to increase the image signal by a factor of 2 or 4 without applying gain. If there is an unevenly lit scene or object with strong contrast, the high dynamic range mode allows users to extend the dynamic range by a factor of x16 to ensure that all detail is visible in the dark and bright parts of the image. This helps to reduce costs as less illumination is required and enables the inspection of highly reflective objects.

High data throughput

The ELiiXA+ family features state-of-the-art, high speed NBASE-T (5 Gb/s) or CoaxPress (24 Gb/s) interfaces to meet the most demanding speed requirements. Using the region of interest features of the camera, it is possible to only scan the relevant areas, reducing the amount of data processed by the PC. This helps to reduce inspection times and by using 1 to 4 regions of interest, saves processing power as well.
