Z-Laser

Since being founded in 1985, Z-Laser has been an innovative manufacturer of intelligent laser technologies in the fields of metrology, industrial machine vision, positioning, and medical technology.

Z-Laser's products are exclusively developed and manufactured in Freiburg Germany and serve as illumination for high quality 2D and 3D camera based applications as well as a visual positioning aid in many industries. Besides high-performance and industry proven IP67 rated lasers, the company also offers computer based laser projector systems. Working in close collaboration with customers Z-Laser also undertake customised OEM solutions on request.

Z-Laser's lasers for machine vision applications include the following features:

  • Line lasers with wavelengths from 405 nm to 830 nm
  • Optical output from 1 mW up to 6,000 mW
  • A variety of projection patterns such as homogeneous lines, multi-lines, grid and dot patterns
  • Manually focusable
  • TTL modulation up to 500 kHz and external intensity control
  • Fibre-coupled high-end lasers with line width of < 10 µm
  • Integrated microcontrollers for intensity stabilisation and performance monitoring
