Cameras: Flat-Field Correction
The flat-field correction (FFC) uses digital subtractive offset correction and multiplicative gain correction to correct each individual pixel. Without this correction, the camera displays different pixel values when recording a homogeneous object.
This process is performed real-time in hardware, either on the acquisition board or inside the camera itself.
By the way: You can learn how to perform a flat field correction step by step. Just watch our video!
