The Prosilica GT series previously included cameras with resolutions from VGA up to 6 megapixels. Now AVT has added two high-resolution models this to the camera family the GT6600 and GT3300 with an astounding 29 megapixel resolution.
The Prosilica GT3300 with 8 megapixels is equipped with the Kodak KAI-08050 CCD sensor and delivers excellent image quality with high sensitivity and dynamic range as well as providing blooming and smear suppression. Thanks to a Quad tap readout option it achieves a frame rate of up to 13 fps at full resolution (3296 x 2472).
The Prosilica GT6600 uses a 29 megapixel sensor from Kodak: the KAI-29050. Thanks to its 5.5 micron pixel size, it also offers high sensitivity, low noise and excellent blooming suppression. The Prosilica GT6600 delivers 6576 x 4384 pixel resolution at 4 frames/s and both models come with an F-mount lens connector fitted as standard. Optionally available for the GT6600 Prosilica is an M58 mount. According to AVT the new Prosilica GT models will be available in the 3rd Quarter.
As a further extension of the Prosilica GT camera family models previously equipped with CCD sensor, AVT has introduced the 2.2 megapixel Prosilica GT2000 camera. This uses a CMOS sensor with global shutter. The CMV2000 sensor from CMOSIS, is characterized by its high sensitivity and high frame rates. The GT2000 Prosilica provides 50 full frames/s.
For the Manta series, AVT has introduced four new models with the fast EXview HAD CCD II dual-tap sensor developed by Sony, which is also available in the 3rd Quarter. According to AVT, the Manta G-282 with its 2.8 megapixel resolution is the first camera on the market to be fitted with the new ICX687 sensor. This compact sensor chip (1/1.8") benefits from a particularly high sensitivity in the near-infrared range at full HD resolution. The Manta G-282 achieves 30 frames/s at full resolution (1936 x 1458) in dual-tap mode.
The Manta G-283 is a fast dual-tap camera with a 2/3" ICX674 sensor. It
delivers 30 frames/s at full resolution (2.8 megapixels) and also offers
excellent near-infrared sensitivity, making it particularly suitable for
demanding applications that suffer from low-light conditions.
The 6 megapixel Manta G-609 is equipped with the Sony ICX694 sensor. It delivers excellent picture quality with smear suppression, high quantum efficiency and NIR sensitivity. With its high resolution and sensitivity, the Manta G-609 is ideal for demanding applications in science, microscopy, or monitoring.
The fourth model is the new Manta G-505. With its ICX625 Super HAD CCD sensor from Sony, this camera can operate at 15 frames/s at full resolution (5 megapixels - 2448 x 2050 pixels).
Designed for applications with low light and very long exposure times, the new Bigeye G-283B uses active Peltier sensor cooling down to -10 ° C. This high- quality digital CCD camera is equipped with an AVT GigE Vision interface module and the extended family Bigeye uses a new sensor, the Sony ICX674 CCD with 2.8 megapixel mono resolution. The camera has an excellent quantum efficiency and high dynamic range properties. The Bigeye G-283B benefits from very low noise and offers up to 6 images/s at full resolution and 14-bit output.
