The encoder can be used in applications where IP connectivity is preferred, such as in high end security, medical, marine and ANPR. Capable of supporting sensor resolutions up to 12 megapixels, it features a powerful video codec capable of generating multiple H.264 video streams at different quality settings for added versatility. For example in dual streaming it can generate a primary stream at full HD (1080p60) as well as a secondary stream at D1 30 fps, with a latency of less than 120 ms.
Onvif (Open Network Video Interface Forum) Profile S compliance ensures that the encoder can be easily used with a wide variety of video management software, such as Milestone and Genetec in the security industry. An extensive range of embedded software functions include media recording of audio and video to SD card for external storage and a mobile viewer for smartphones and tablets.
Measuring just 50 mm x 60 mm, the Atomas Mini LVDS can be gluelessly connected to the back or side of Sony FCB zoom blocks. It can operate with case temperatures from -40˚ to +85˚C meaning it can be used in a wide range of environments. With a power input of 7VDC to 12VDC, it can also be configured for Power over Ethernet.
