Placed between camera and object, the CIS light guarantees very homogenous light as the rays are parallel to the optical axis between camera and object.

Coaxial illumination system
FiberOptic's CIS is an exceptionally uniform luminous panel, particularly suitable for illuminating reflective, mirror-like surfaces. The light is generated across the entire field of the internal light panel and is then coupled into the camera's optical axis via a half-mirrored beam splitter.
The CIS is placed between the camera and the object that needs to be inspected. As a result, the camera’s view of the object is parallel to the light path and the object benefits from a diffuse and extremely uniform illumination.
Reasons to select the FiberOptic CIS
Due to several different sizes, the illumination covers a broad range of applications. They can be supplied in various sizes: 25 x 25 mm, 50 x 50 mm, 75 x 50 mm, 75 x 75 mm, 100 x 100 mm and 150 x 150 mm. The CIS lights are available in several wavelengths: white (6500 K), red (623 nm) and IR (875 nm).
The device features an additional protection glass on the top to avoid dust on the half mirror, which would blur the image. The 25 x 25 mm model is passively cooled to minimize movable parts, in order to make it more suitable for harsh and dirty conditions.
