The optical performance of this series is identical with the proven and popular HF-XA-5M series with focal lengths ranging from 8 mm to 35 mm. The key difference between both series resides in the shock resistance. The Fujinon HF-XA-1F series not only features FUJIFILM's Anti Shock & Vibration technology, but it also takes it one step further with a rugged mechanical design with no moving parts inside the lens. This ensures the highest possible optical stability and durability, even under harsh conditions. FUJIFILM has tested the new lenses by applying forces up to 10 G in six directions and measuring the shift of the optical axis after the test. The results are spectacular compared to conventional lenses with barely visible shifts.
Fujinon HF-XA-1F
5 megapixel lenses with 2/3" to 1/1.2" image circles with Anti Shock & Vibration technology
The Fujinon HF-XA-1F product line is the heavy-duty version of the popular HF-XA-5M series.
These lenses are designed for demanding applications requiring high resistance to shocks and vibrations. They are suitable for image sensor sizes from 2/3” to 1/1.2” and resolutions up to 5 megapixels resulting in 3.45 µm pixel sizes.
Reasons for the Fujinon HF-XA-1F
The focus is adjusted with the special C-mount and its nut and counter nut system: The user attaches the lens to the camera by turning it into the C-mount thread until the correct focus is achieved. This position is then locked using the mount nut of the lens. That way, the complete lens is adjusted to the sensor without moving optical glass parts inside the lens.
To avoid moving parts to be shifted by shocks, the iris is fixed: Users can adapt the iris to their needs by exchanging the fixed iris plate. Three different plates are provided with every lens: F open, F4, and F8. They can be easily exchanged by the user and are screw-locked to ensure they can withstand heavy shocks and vibrations.
Thanks to their unique design, the Fujinon HF-XA-1F lenses are ideal for imaging in tough environments or moving systems, for example in 3D/stereoscopy or robotics applications. The range includes five models with 8 mm to 35 mm focal lengths.
