Successful Vision Technology Forum

18 Nov 2013

The STEMMER IMAGING Vision Technology Forum, which took place on November 13 and 14, 2013 in Unterschleissheim, was a big success with around 400 participants.

The main objective of the two-day event, which was organised by STEMMER IMAGING and the European Imaging Academy for the very first time, was to present the current state of the art and technological visions from different areas of imaging and machine vision. Most of the 400 participants attended the vision technology forum for the entire two days demonstrating the great success of this initiative.

Technological background and developments in machine vision

Almost 90 presentations, held in five parallel sessions, generated highly positive feedback. The 30 speakers were asked for talks on technological background and developments, rather than for product-oriented presentations, all of whom complied.

The accompanying table top exhibition from almost 40 manufacturers was very well accepted especially during the breaks between the lectures. Here again, the exhibiting companies focused on the presentation of technologies rather than on showcasing product innovations. An entertaining evening programme on the end of first day rounded off this successful event. The next STEMMER IMAGING Vision Technology Forum in Germany is expected to be organised in November 2015. Other subsidiaries are planning similar events for the first half of 2014.
