Software tools for 3D analysis based on real point clouds
Our CVB machine vision software is ideally suited for processing 3D image data - not only because of its GigE Vision compatibility, which is necessary to transmit the data via the GenICam 3.0 protocol, but especially because of the processing possibilities in CVB's 3D tools. They are particularly suitable for 3D surface inspection in many production environments, including checking each product for completeness and defects.
A new function enables the immediate localisation of 3D objects in point clouds using the saved CAD files. Only the object’s geometric properties are taken into account; its colour and texture play no role. The CVB tools thus enable a practical approach that offers maximum accuracy and a processing speed that can keep pace with modern production lines.
