Inspecting shiny and curved surfaces or materials with unsteady brightness are extremely challenging tasks for machine vision systems. The trevista method has been particularly developed to reliably detect even the smallest defects on difficult surfaces. The special technology offers fully automated, process-safe 100% inspection where the texture and the topography of the test specimen are inspected separately.
The optical 3D shape measurement detects even the smallest defects which significantly increases inspection accuracy. The separate inspection of texture and topography leads to a minimum of pseudo rejects which significantly reduces related costs since real defects such as scratches can be easily distinguished from supposed defects such as dirt on surfaces. The specially designed illumination unit reduces any interfering ambient light, hence allowing for reliable inspection without the need for additional components such as filters. With short cycle times (up to 200 parts per minute) you can reduce inspection time and enhance your productivity.
