For high-speed image data transmission
Similar in performance to CameraLink HS, CoaXPress is a standard in the machine vision market. Both power supply and control protocols for the remote device and data are transmitted in the simplest configuration via a single coax cable creating a point-to-point connection between camera and frame grabber. CoaXPress uses 75 Ω coaxial cable as a physical medium.
CoaXPress uses in the simplest case only one single coaxial line. By using the coaxial cable that is often already available from older analog installations, a conversion to modern digital technology with higher bandwidth is simple and cost-effective.
