The new JAI-GO-5100MP-PGE polarisation camera enables analysis of material thickness, stress points, and other defects not observable using standard imaging techniques. Featuring Sony’s IMX250MZR polarised CMOS sensor this GigE Vision camera can also reduce the effects of reflections and hot spots from shiny materials such as plastics and glass. The unique on-board calculation of key parameters such as angle and degree of linear polarisation frees up host resources for other processing tasks.
STEMMER IMAGING AG has signed an agreement with 3D machine vision camera company Zivid for the distribution of its market-leading Zivid One+ cameras and software throughout Europe. Providing human-like vision capabilities, the cameras meet the demands of a wide range of high performance robotics and industrial automation systems.
Ricoh has added the new FL-CC-MX series to its existing range of lenses for 2/3” 5 megapixel cameras. These high-performance lenses with 12 and 16mm focal length versions provide high resolution, high contrast imaging with low distortion across the entire sensor, ensuring accurate measurements at the periphery of the image as well as at the centre.
The use of small to medium-sized collaborative robots for factory automation applications is growing at a rapid rate. STEMMER IMAGING has worked closely with London Underground to develop and deliver 104 industrial camera assemblies that are mounted directly onto passenger trains to provide image data on the condition of the wheel/rail interface and the track itself. By acquiring this data during normal timetable periods, more time is available during the 4-hour night closure period to maintain the network’s 1000 km of track, minimising any disruption to services and helping to make the new weekend extended operating times possible.
