The new Dimension range of lenses from Zeiss has been designed for precise high-end applications, where distortion, vignetting and colouring issues must be minimised. Developed specifically for C-mount cameras, these new lenses provide high contrast, razor-sharp images, even at maximum aperture. They are virtually distortion-free across the entire area of sensors up to 4/3” and can resolve pixel sizes down to 2 μm.
A new, wide angle lens with a focal length of 25 mm has been added to the Zeiss Interlock range of compact, lightweight lenses. These are designed for use with large format area and line scan cameras. The full metal housing, locking screws for focus and aperture and their resilience to dust, water and vibration make these lenses ideally suited to use in very harsh industrial environments.
The Boa Spot IDE integrated vision sensor from Teledyne DALSA is a low cost 1D/2D code reader with additional OCR and verification tools, all at the price point of a traditional code reader. The versatile high-speed code reading algorithm not only increases reading speeds by a factor of up to 10, but offers enhanced capabilities for more difficult direct part marking applications.
Every day the lives of millions of people depend on intact tyres on cars and airplanes. The Carl Zeiss Optotechnik tyre inspection systems equipped with STEMMER IMAGING’s state-of-the-art machine vision components provide the maximum possible safety in this domain.
A machine vision system mounted onto a grapple loader and a Smart Vision Lights outdoor illumination enable reliable and efficient measurements of tree trunks before they are further processed into boards.
STEMMER IMAGING has worked closely with London Underground to develop and deliver 104 industrial camera assemblies that are mounted directly onto passenger trains to provide image data on the condition of the wheel/rail interface and the track itself. By acquiring this data during normal timetable periods, more time is available during the 4-hour night closure period to maintain the network’s 1000 km of track, minimising any disruption to services and helping to make the new weekend extended operating times possible.
