New AxCIS Models Extend High-Resolution Line Scan Inspection to 1,500 mm

The 1500 mm flagship covers wide webs at 900 dpi and up to 120 kHz in monochrome, while a new 400 mm model reaches 1800 dpi at a 14 µm pixel size for finer defect detail. Both combine sensor, optics and illumination in one module for industrial inspection in monochrome and colour.

  • Sensors, optics and illumination in a single module - cutting alignment work and shortening the path from installation to production.
  • Staggered pixel design - closes every gap across the field of view, so each pixel carries genuine image data rather than an interpolated value.
  • Dual-exposure HDR - balances bright and dark areas of the same scene in one pass, improving defect visibility on reflective surfaces.
  • Camera Link HS SFP+ fibreoptic interface - high-resolution images over cable runs of up to 300 m with full immunity to electromagnetic interference.

STEMMER IMAGING Fibre Cables

Drag-Chain-Rated Fibre-Optic Cabling for Industrial Machine Vision Installations

Fibreoptic camera and frame grabber interfaces need cabling rated for continuous industrial movement rather than standard patch leads. STEMMER IMAGING's LC-LC OM3 cable range is built for drag-chain duty and certified to hold a stable link across the full cable run.

  • LC and SC connectors - cover the most common fibreoptic camera and frame grabber ports, to fit straight into existing installations without adapters.
  • Up to six dedicated fibre lanes in one multi-core jacket - carry several camera links in a single run, reducing cable count and routing complexity.
  • PUR jacket rated for drag-chain duty - withstands continuous flexing, oil and abrasion on moving machine sections.
  • Tested and certified before shipment – providing a verified link from installation rather than a cable that needs troubleshooting on the line.

STEMMER IMAGING Power and I/O Cables

Purpose-Built Cabling for Industrial Machine Vision Systems

Cameras, frame grabbers and illumination controllers each have their own power and trigger wiring, and generic multi-purpose cables rarely match every connector layout cleanly. Wired specifically to the connectors in use, they are available as dedicated power-and-trigger and full I/O breakout versions.

  • HIROSE 6, 8 and 12-pin, D-SUB, M8 and M12 connector options - directly match the cable to cameras, frame grabbers, illumination controllers and existing panel wiring.
  • Rugged multi-core design - rated for drag-chain movement and robotics-grade torsional stress for installations with continuous motion.
  • Custom I/O versions available on request - non-standard trigger or sensor wiring can be accommodated without a separate cabling project.
  • Pre-wired, tested cable assemblies ready to connect - removing one engineering task.

JAI Wave Series

SWIR Line Scan Cameras for Industrial Inspection

The JAI Wave Series brings SWIR line scan imaging to production-speed inspection. Where moisture distribution, polymer composition or subsurface conditions are the inspection variable, Wave cameras provide the spectral contrast that visible-spectrum cameras cannot reach, in compact 1K and 2K models built for standard line scan installations.

  • InGaAs sensor technology covers the 900-1700 nm SWIR range, turning material composition, moisture content and subsurface conditions into measurable data.
  • 12.5 µm pixels and 83% peak quantum efficiency - hold image quality steady at line scan speed, even under the lower light levels.
  • 1K (29 kHz) and 2K (40 kHz) configurations – with the same sensor width, C-mount and GigE Vision interface, no changes to optics or working distance needed when moving between resolutions.
  • On-camera FFC, DPC and Destripe correction send cleaner image data to the host, cutting processing load and commissioning time.

Metaphase UL Line Light

SWIR Illumination Matched to InGaAs Line Scan Cameras

SWIR line scan cameras such as the JAI Wave Series need illumination in the same 900-1700 nm range to produce usable contrast. The Metaphase UL Line Light emits a narrow, structured beam that concentrates illumination on the line scan field of view, so less optical power is wasted outside the inspection area.

  • Direct driver compatibility with popular controllers - connects the light straight into existing camera and lighting setups without a separate driver design.
  • Anodised aluminium housing and a 75,000-hour life expectancy - extended production shifts with minimal replacement.
  • High-intensity beam at 1050 nm and 1650 nm - matched to the field of view of line scan sensors for fill-level, moisture and subsurface inspection.
