In this month edition:
The 1500 mm flagship covers wide webs at 900 dpi and up to 120 kHz in monochrome, while a new 400 mm model reaches 1800 dpi at a 14 µm pixel size for finer defect detail. Both combine sensor, optics and illumination in one module for industrial inspection in monochrome and colour.
Fibreoptic camera and frame grabber interfaces need cabling rated for continuous industrial movement rather than standard patch leads. STEMMER IMAGING's LC-LC OM3 cable range is built for drag-chain duty and certified to hold a stable link across the full cable run.
Cameras, frame grabbers and illumination controllers each have their own power and trigger wiring, and generic multi-purpose cables rarely match every connector layout cleanly. Wired specifically to the connectors in use, they are available as dedicated power-and-trigger and full I/O breakout versions.
The JAI Wave Series brings SWIR line scan imaging to production-speed inspection. Where moisture distribution, polymer composition or subsurface conditions are the inspection variable, Wave cameras provide the spectral contrast that visible-spectrum cameras cannot reach, in compact 1K and 2K models built for standard line scan installations.
SWIR line scan cameras such as the JAI Wave Series need illumination in the same 900-1700 nm range to produce usable contrast. The Metaphase UL Line Light emits a narrow, structured beam that concentrates illumination on the line scan field of view, so less optical power is wasted outside the inspection area.
