Designed for challenging industrial environments

The JAI Sweep is optimised for industrial applications and offers different lens mounts (M42 and F-mount) in a very compact housing. All models are highly resistant to shock (80G) and vibration (10G). They are equipped with the widely used CameraLink interface.

Increase production speed

The SW-4000 and SW-8000 monochrome line scan cameras with 200 kHz and 100 kHz line rates are among the fastest cameras available. This increases production speed and enables applications that weren't possible before. The maximum line frequency of 200 kHz meets even the most demanding application requirements.

High dynamic range

Thanks to the larger pixel area for collecting photons and the larger quantum well capacity, the JAI Sweep offers a high dynamic range and an excellent signal-to-noise ratio. This means that both bright and dark areas in high-contrast objects can be displayed in excellent quality. This leads to more reliable results and faster analysis, as all parts of the image can be analysed in a single pass.

Choice of photon collection modes

The Sweep series can be set to two different quantum well modes. When light is abundant, the large well mode provides images with a higher signal-to-noise ratio and higher dynamic range (better image contrast). Using the small well mode increases responsivity and supports maximum line rates even when light is more limited.

Vertical and horizontal binning and built-in colour space conversion

Using custom-designed image sensors, the cameras offer high image quality and advanced feature sets such as built-in colour space conversion to provide image output in a range of standard formats.

In addition, applications requiring extra sensitivity and minimum readout noise can benefit from the unique binning capabilities of the SW-4000TL models.
