What is CVB CameraSuite?
Common Vision Blox (CVB) CameraSuite is STEMMER IMAGING's image acquisition software for GigE Vision and USB3 Vision cameras. It gives you the drivers, tools and sample code needed to acquire, configure and process camera images, without tying your application to a single camera manufacturer.
- Manufacturer-independent. Built on CVB's own GenICam driver for GigE Vision and USB3 Vision, so your application isn't locked to one camera brand.
- Cross-platform. Runs and deploys seamlessly on Windows x64, Linux x86_64 and aarch64, with a fully managed SBOM for all platforms.
- Sample code included. APIs and sample programs for .Net, C/C++ and Python help you start developing straight away.
- Ready-to-use tools. GenICamBrowser for camera evaluation, configuration, firmware updates and image recording without writing code first.
How it works
Once you're logged in to the Customer Portal, you can generate and activate a licence key for your camera in a few steps.
Step 1
Sign in
Log in to your STEMMER IMAGING account to open the CameraSuite Licence Key Generator.
Step 2
Choose your camera type
Select GigE Vision or USB3 Vision, depending on your camera's interface.
Step 3
Enter your camera's details
MAC address for GigE Vision, or vendor and serial number for USB3 Vision.
Step 4
Generate and activate
Your key is created immediately. Add it in CVB License Manager to finish.
Licensing several cameras at once
For a larger number of cameras, contact our technical support team directly rather than generating keys one by one. They can advise on the most efficient way to handle your request.
Adding your key automatically
CVB License Manager can collect available CameraSuite keys automatically over an internet connection, so you don't need to enter each one by hand. This can take up to a day after generation.

What does CVB CameraSuite licensing cost?
It's provided free of charge for GigE Vision and USB3 Vision cameras, regardless of manufacturer.
Do I need to have bought my camera from STEMMER IMAGING?
No. The licence generator works with GigE Vision and USB3 Vision cameras from any manufacturer, whether or not you purchased them from us.
Where do I find my camera's MAC address?
It's usually printed directly on the camera, in a format similar to 01-23-45-67-89-ab. If you can't find it, contact our technical support team.
Where do I find my camera's serial number?
It's printed on the camera and/or its packaging.
Do I need an account to generate a licence key?
Yes. You'll need to be logged in to your STEMMER IMAGING customer account. If you don't have login details yet, you can register on the login page.
Is my licence tied to a specific computer?
No. The licence is bound to your camera's hardware identifier rather than to a computer or dongle, so it stays with the camera wherever it's connected.
I need licence keys for a large number of cameras. What should I do?
