When compared to for example the Schneider-Kreuznach SAPPHIRE series, the ZIRCONIA lenses come with a considerably larger aperture, making them suitable for applications where more light or a faster throughput is required.
Versatile lens series
The series offers various magnifications, ranging from -0.2x to -2.0x, i.e. changing the test object does not require searching for a new lens series.
Adaptable to many different cameras
The V70 mount has been adapted to work with M72 and gives you the option of mounting the lens on M58, M90, M95 and M72 threads. This enables you to work with the vast majority of high-resolution line scan cameras available on the market. As it also offers many different extension tubes, it is very likely to fit your camera as well.
For maximum performance
All ZIRCONIA lenses are measured and checked at Schneider-Kreuznach at almost every single step in its production. The best alignment to the sensor line is marked with a red dot ("red dot for best azimuth"). This spot marks the best performance and contrast for your specific lens, making each lens unique. This is also the reason why Schneider-Kreuznach decided to work with V-mounts. You can easily rotate your lens to the best position and fix it with the locking screws.
Broadband coating
Offering a coating from 400 nm to 1000 nm Schneider stays true to their commitment to offer lenses which are suitable for almost all industrial lighting conditions.
Resistant to vibration
All ZIRCONIA lenses come with very robust mechanics, making them exceptional optically and mechanically... ideal for industrial environments.
Outstanding optical performance
The MTF (contrast) over the whole image circle is very homogenous, there is virtually no distortion. Limitations due to vignetting do not matter with ZIRCONIA lenses.
